The images in the series Search Windows consists of images from Midwestern suburban areas chosen on the computer through Google searches of the words such as "home", "development", and other real estate terms used to conjure a positive association with a neighborhood. Over time, searches became more specific, for example, "cicadas" and "rocking chair" were used and based off specific memories that inspired the titles of the works. I am interested in the conceptual implications of presenting an idea of "home" through virtual means, but the impersonal nature also just seems more in tune with his emotions about his own experience.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
