This self portrait consists of two images of me and my older brother when we were young kids. In one image we are hugging in our kitchen, and in the other we are wresting and I am pulling his hair, making him cry. This piece acts as an examination of familial relationships and place. The things we are closest to in life are often those that we simultaneously grapple with the most. This ongoing struggle, these love/hate relationships are everywhere in life in our families and beyond.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
