9th Annual Combined Caucus Exhibition
In conjunction with Month Of Photography Denver
"The 9th Annual SPE Combined Caucus Exhibition featured photographs from the Multicultural, LGBTQ, and Women's caucuses. Each caucus has a defining mission that advances, educates, and promotes the stories of underrepresented communities. Together, the photographs submitted for this exhibit reflect the pulse of our contemporary culture. From the vibrant photographs by Steven Baboun to the powerful gaze of Natasha Moustache's portraits, each photographer used the camera to shed light on stories that need to be told, celebrating our shared human existence. Through the exhibition, the viewer has the opportunity to experience the beauty, pain, and joy that connects us all."
Endia Beal is a North Carolina-based artist, curator, and author. Beal's work merges fine arts with social injustice. She uses photography and video to reveal the often overlooked and unappreciated experiences unique to people of color. Specifically, Beal's first monograph, Performance Review, brings together work over a 10-year period that highlights the realities and challenges for women of color in the corporate workplace. She lectures about these experiences, which also addresses bias in corporate hiring practices.
