Conversation with Danny Singer
Anderman Photography Lecture Series
Singer’s work extends and amplifies the tradition of the photographic streetscape at the same time that it engages with paintings of the built environment by Edward Hopper, Ed Ruscha, and others. There is harsh beauty in the cold light of winter, ease and simplicity in summer afternoons. Against backdrops of weather and space, Singer weaves gentle stories about small-town life and the meaning of home.
