En Foco presents The Artist's Path: A presentation by Don Gregorio Antón
This FREE presentation is geared for photographers and artists of all levels from the student to the more established. Antón will speak of maintaining the artist's path, its pitfalls, and necessary diversions. It will offer suggestions in sustaining one's identity concerning an evolutionary responsibility. Topics addressed will be the necessity of courage, how it is addressed and maintained, the importance of discerning fear, and its contribution to selfunderstanding, and the useful parameters of maintaining ones creative convictions. The presentation will conclude with a Q&A section from the audience.
Antón states, "Every path can only be defined by the person who travels it. For each of us, every step gives clue to ones stride and direction, purpose and meaning. In the course of an artists understanding, these steps are critical for the development of determining ones own unique direction."
Work from Antón's The Arc of Memory series will be on display at BRIC Rotunda Gallery January 10 through February 23, 2013. En Foco: New Works/Crossing Boundaries, curated by Elizabeth Ferrer, presents a retrospective look at some of the artists involved with En Foco's prestigious New Works Photography Fellowship Awards program.
