Matt Rahner is a visual artist whose work integrates documentary and vernacular photographs, found objects, and other forms of appropriated data. Rahner's work has been shown nationally and internationally in such venues as the Neue Galerie (Germany), David Weinberg Photography (Chicago) and the IHR Gallery (Arizona). Rahner recently completed his MFA from The University of Missouri at Columbia. Rahner was born in Silver Spring, Maryland, grew up in Buffalo, New York, and since the age of 11 has lived in Missouri. Rahner currently teaches photography at Missouri Valley College in Marshall Missouri. He lives in Columbia Missouri with his wife, Anmarie, and two daughters, Elsa and Ada.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
