Archiving Ecological Calamity and Superfund Sites in Wisconsin
C. Matthew Luther is a Milwaukee-based artist whose work explores the human relationship to nature and cultural consumption of the landscape physically and symbolically. He is currently working on the project Superfund Wisconsin, an archive of environmental calamities in the state that can be seen at www.superfundwisconsin.com. Luther received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Southern Oregon University and a Master of Fine Art at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He has exhibited regionally, internationally, and a recent visiting artist-in-residence in Iceland, Sweden, and Norway. You can see his work at www.matthewluther.com.
