Brianna Burnett is an artist, educator, and her current art demonstrates her evolving investigation of how photography can serve as both document and metaphor for memory and place. Through her practice and community leadership, Burnett creates spaces for dialogue about collective memory and shared histories. Holding an MFA in Photography from Texas Tech University and a BA in Art from Austin College in Sherman, Texas.
Brianna is an Associate Professor at Austin College and teaches Photography and Digital Media. It is important to her to share with students that art is both personal and collective.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
