Cathleen Faubert, originally from Rhode Island, is currently an Assistant Professor of Art, Technology & Culture at the University of Oklahoma. She earned her MFA from Tufts University/School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Artistic endeavors are multi-disciplinary, including olfactory artworks. Recent work utilizes our sense of smell as a language to access ideas, expectations and projections about place, the American landscape, and the unseen.
Faubert has exhibited nationally and internationally, and completed a number of artist-in-residence programs, which help to inform her work regarding place. In 2017 she has participated in programs at Vermont Studio Center and Studio Works at the Tides Institute and Museum of Art in Eastport, ME.
