Artist Talk: Aromatic Landscapes: Exploring Unseen Terrain; by Cathleen Faubert, University of Oklahoma
Scent reaches us in ways that elude sight, but conjure reflection, and possibly recollection. Aromatic Landscapes spotlights aroma and allows audience members to sample the olfactory interpretations of unseen terrain by a paper scent strip. Additionally, the presentation includes imagery regarding place and process behind the scent works. I am proposing the demonstration and discussion of three or four scent works, which are listed below. The presentation will include interpretations of with fragrances.
