Presentation: Into the Void: Making Camera-less Photographs in the Age of Image Overload by Ross Faircloth and Ashley Whitt
Into the Void: Making Camera-less Photographs in the Age of Image; a two-person lecture by Ross Faircloth and Ashley Whitt about making unorthodox imagery in response to a world overwhelmed by traditional photographic means. Whitt and Faircloth both make camera-less imagery using a variety of processes: solvent transfers, chemigrams, lumen prints, and traditional gelatin silver prints. The use of the hand is important to both artists as a means of communicating a variety of emotions and themes.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
