Jeremy Bolen will be presenting his research and work on human and non-human relationships to invisible phenomena. Focusing on nuclear initiatives, scientific exploration, military testing, radio signals, 19th century astrophysics, antennas, microwave ovens, and other human interventions with the Earth's surface --Bolen employs empirical observation through site specific experimental forms of photography -- often using the actual landscape he hopes to document as a camera of sorts. Through his research based interactions and collaborations he analyzes and questions depictions of invisibility, the role and structure of documents, the anthropocene and the privilege of sensing.
