In this workshop, we will explore the alternative photographic process of lumen printing. With this simple but beautiful process, participants will intentionally document their experience at the SPESE retreat through objects gathered from the landscape of Penland. We will begin the workshop with a quick walk to gather materials to make images with. Upon our return, I will demonstrate the process of how to print and scan the lumens. This will be followed by time to create, discuss, and explore the possibilities of the process.
