Kristina Smith is a narrative photographer and artist whose creative research focuses on memory, story telling, and the human condition. Her recent work explores memory, identity, ritual, and obsessions. She received her BFA from Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio. She currently resides in Denton, TX, where she earned her MFA from Texas Woman's University. Smith teaches photography, design, art history, and sculpture at multiple colleges and universities around North Texas. In her spare time, she runs a bakery and works as a food stylist. Her work has been exhibited regionally, nationally, and internationally.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
