Sarah Thomas is an interdisciplinary artist and photographer based in the Toledo, OH. She received her BFA from Bowling Green State University in 2013 and received her MFA in Photography from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2020. She has exhibited in galleries around the Midwest, worked on independent photography and curation projects, and assisted in mural projects around the city of Toledo, working with Toledo Arts Corner, The Toledo Arts Commission, and the Toledo Museum of Art. She has also worked in imaging for the National Gallery of Art, DC and curation at the Cranbrook Art Museum. Currently, she is a Photography Instructor and Photography/Media Technician at Bowling Green State University. In May 2026 she will be in a group exhibition called Shared State curated by Co-worker Gallery, hosted at the Riffe Gallery. Recently, she had a solo exhibition at the Portal Gallery showing her newest work that she will be talking about today.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
