In presenting my new project, Viscous Empire, I will explain how it builds upon my previous work as well as its direction forward. I will especially discuss materiality in photography and how my new project brings together decorative materials of old Europe, excavation site detritus, and historic photos taken by colonialists in order to visualize degrees of viscosity.
