This image-maker presentation will overview Kalee Appleton's current area of visual research. This studio practice includes a collaboration with a post-production algorithm that creates a visual metaphor for COVID-19 as well as the implementation of unconventional framing techniques. With an approach that includes sculptural, drawing and photographic processes, a working methodology, that examines the materiality of virtual objects, will be explained in a step-by-step fashion.
