Currently a graduate student and teaching assistant in Duke University's MFA program in Experimental and Documentary Arts, Malina Chavez is a web and multimedia assistant at the Center for Documentary Studies and an active member in the Society for Photographic Education where she recently received the 2013 Jeannie Pearce Award for Innovations in Imaging. Her work has been shown in NC, TN, VA, FL, Chicago and Italy.
