Robert's work is inspired by the transparent, intangible connections to our family and sense of place that resides within us all. We all have a sense of place and to people in our lives. Through metaphor, still lifes and portraits Roberts work weaves together this connection while exploring the passage we all make through life.
"When I hold a photograph of a loved one in the palm of my hands, I feel the edges of the paper against my fingers, Then locking gazes, I feel an eternity of connectedness. Eyes, hair, cells, DNA, tastes and sensibilities. feeling we share pieces of each other forever."
