Student Presentation: Experimental Digital Photography: Pushing the Limits of Lenses
Born in Fairfax Virginia, Alex was brought up on documentaries and long hikes. Instilled in him by his father was a curiosity of the world around him, a desire to understand and investigate, as well as a passionate need to share and spread information. He attended Wilbert Tucker Woodson HS where he was first introduced to photography as an art form and story telling tool. This quickly became an obsession that continues to this day. Alex is currently a senior attending East Carolina University as a prospective BFA in photography. Here he uses his camera not just as a tool to create aesthetically pleasing images, but to express a fascination with the little things, as well as pass on information about underlying patterns inherent to our world, and the idea that art and science are not mutually exclusive.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
