Melinda McDaniel grew up in Florida, inspired by the visual overload of Walt Disney World and the endless light at the center of the state's predictable weather. She received a BFA in studio art from Florida State University, and went on to receive an MFA in photography from The Ohio State University. She currently calls Troy, New York home. Her work has recently been exhibited at The Albany International Airport in Albany, New York, Milavec Hakimi Gallery in New York City, and the BRIC Rotunda Gallery in Brooklyn, New York. Other exhibitions of note include The Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago, Illinois, and the TNC Gallery in New York City. She is represented by Carrie Haddad Gallery in Hudson, New York.
