Jessica Just and Gabi Magaly investigate tradition and expectations that exist in the American South, but from two different view points. Both hope to facilitate a conversation around tradition specific to the experience of modern women in the American south. What do we take and perpetuate? What do we leave behind? What stories can we share? How do we bring an interactive element into our art making, and even into the way we interact in the every-day? Our hope is to engage the audience, discuss our imagery, bring them in, tell our stories, and in exchange, hear theirs as well.
