Upon graduating Andrews University, Ayers has been employed as Curatorial Fellow at Bard Graduate Center, Director at Zabriskie Gallery, both in New York City and in Public Programming at the Detroit Institute of Art. Ayers has additional certification in Strategic Corporate Research from Cornell University and Collections Management in Costume and Textiles from California State University: Long Beach. She currently operates creative advising firm S. Ayers Art and co-owns experimental gallery Patch & Remington, in Marcellus, Michigan.
