Dan Powell has been teaching at the University of Oregon since 1988 and previously taught at the University of Northern Iowa from 1980-1987. He received his BA in 1972, and his MA in 1976 from Central Washington University before going on to complete his MFA at the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana in 1980.
Powell received a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship in 1981 and has exhibited his work nationally and internationally.
His honored educator lecture "I Have Forgotten My Umbrella" will
take place in the late afternoon of Friday November 3rd and will be
followed by a reception.
