Soon after I received my MFA from Carnegie Mellon University in 2011, I started working on video and large scale digital photographs. Many of them were created while working as an artist in resident at Seoul Art Space Geumcheon, MacDowell Colony, Yaddo, Millay, Vermont Studio Center, Jentel Foundation, MASS MoCA, Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture among others. The projects usually revolved around collaborating with local community groups or individuals, but the project would work in a variety of locations. I shot videos and still images in Maine, the Hudson Valley, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, South Korea and Cuba. When not working on projects outside of the bluegrass, I am teaching full time as a photo professor at the University of Kentucky.
