Honored Educator: Steve Goff

Steve Goff, Retired Professor and former Program Head of Photography, taught at Odessa College since 1984. He has an extensive exhibition record, continues to teach part-time, gives Visiting Artist presentations, and conducts workshops throughout the state and region. Before moving to Texas, Steve received his B.F.A. and M.F.A. from Ohio University. He taught at Lakeland Community College, Cuyahoga Community College, and Cleveland State University. He has been awarded the Aid to Individual Artist Fellowship from the Ohio Arts Council and the Fellowship Award in Photography from the Mid-America Arts Alliance/National Endowment for the Arts. Additionally, he represented the Fellowship winners at the Mois de la Photo in Paris, France. Most recently, Steve, along with a select few, has been working on a book about Chief Leonard Crow Dog and the traditional Lakota Sun Dance. Steve currently serves as President of the Board of Directors of the Texas Photographic Society and is a member of the Board of Directors of Odessa Arts.
