Matt Whitman is an experimental filmmaker and media artist based in New York City. He is currently part-time faculty at Parsons the New School for Design. Whitman holds an MFA in Fine Arts from Parsons The New School for Design and a Master of Arts degree in Media Studies from The New School for Public Engagement. His work has been shown in New York City at the 2013 Brooklyn Film Festival, Amos Eno Gallery, the Arnold and Sheila Aronson Galleries, Anthology Film Archives, the Soho Gallery for Digital Art, the 2011 Big Apple Film Festival at Tribeca Cinemas, Parsons 25 East Gallery, and The Greenpoint Gallery as well as the 2014 London Analogue Festival at Oxo Tower (London, UK), 8 Fest (Toronto, ON), the W Chicago Lakeshore Hotel in partnership with Aspect/Ratio Projects + 2013 Expo Art Week (Chicago, IL), the University of Sydney College of the Arts Galleries (Sydney, Australia), the 2013 ARTSFEST Film Festival (Harrisburg PA), and the 2012 Verge Art Fair: Miami Beach (Miami Beach, FL).
