Reflecting the Times: Image-Making and Education in the Shadow of Genocide
Stephanie Brown, an Atlanta-based photographer and installation artist, explores identity and culture through her Jamaican heritage and South Florida upbringing. A graduate of SCAD (BFA Photography) and the University of Michigan (MFA Interdisciplinary Art and Museum Studies Certificate), she bridges history, culture, and contemporary issues in her work. Her achievements include the Essere Fellowship, Emory Arts and Social Justice Fellowship, and exhibitions at Swan Coach House Gallery, Black Art In America, The Other Art Fair LA, and internationally. Stephanie inspires through art, education, placemaking, and advocacy.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
