Against the Grain

Mark Maio, BS, MAH, MFA, is President of InVision, Inc., an imaging consulting and education service. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, and the Isle of Skye, Scotland, he divides his time between fine art photography and ophthalmic imaging. As an educator, he offers workshops and one-on-one mentoring. He is an author, publisher, Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology, and inventor of medical imaging devices. His photographic work has been widely exhibited and collected in public and private collections, including the George Eastman Museum, which holds a portfolio from his "Against the Grain" series. He continues to teach, create, and support photographic education worldwide.
