Pedro Antonio Madera Jr. was born in Reno, Nevada, and raised in Carson City. Currently a Junior at the University of Nevada, Reno, pursuing a BA in Photography with a minor in Cinema and Media Studies. Pedro's multicultural roots stem from his father who is from Jalisco, Mexico, and his mother from Managua, Nicaragua who have instilled him with a strong sense of resilience, family values, and purpose.
From a young age, Pedro has been inspired by leaders like Martin Luther King Jr. and have always felt called to help others. Photography has been a tool to connect humanity and landscape to strengthen community values. Looking ahead, Pedro aspires to join the Peace Corps or Red Cross and become a natural disaster photographer document the evolving global environment.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
