Originally from San Diego, Kaleah Lanae King began photographing professionally in 2007. She owned a commercial photography business for 7 years, specializing in wedding, portrait, and event photography. In 2012, she completed a Bachelor's degree in Visual Communication at California State University, Fullerton. In 2015, she earned a Master of Fine Art in Photography from Lesley University where she explored alternative processes, experimental video, and taught as adjunct faculty.

Kaleah has exhibited both in the United States and internationally, and her work has been featured in motion pictures, news publications, and academic textbooks. She has worked with non-profits in Asia, Africa, and Central America. Most recently, she taught creative photography classes at a cultural center in Montana. She partnered previously with nonprofits in Nicaragua to teach photography workshops for kids and teens. She hopes to continue similar work in the future, in collaboration with her passion for teaching, learning, and exploring other art forms.
