Bobby Lee is a lens based landscape artist whose work is inspired by the animacy of the natural world and the sense of geologic time revealed in exposed rock layers and other landforms. His photographic process is rooted in the sense-based experience of being in and interacting with the physical world, while book arts and paper sculpture provide unique avenues to display photography in different layered and interactive ways. The creation of non-traditional book works allows for the extension of sense-based experiences of the landscape to the viewer through interaction with the physical form of the book.
