In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to make Flag books and Panorama books that can be used as models for future photobook projects. These book structures, invented by artist Hedi Kyle, extend from the mechanics of the accordion fold to create a wide variety of unconventional book forms and sculptural variations. Different examples of sculptural photobooks will be discussed, along with Phillip Zimmermann's "Photo-bookwork Graphic-Continuum Chart."
