My most recent 16mm short film project is titled "This Dissonance". In it, infinite "American" landscapes mesh with ominous music while Palestinian and Lebanese voices permeate through poetry, hope, and pain. I've presented it as a traditional analog film screening with optical sound, as a digital video/sound screening, and as an expanded cinema performance including live overlayed poetry, sound, and music performances. I am interested in how presentation formats can change meaning-making, storytelling, and audience perception and reception of the work.
