Storytelling Through the Lens: Youth Media Education

Storytelling Through the Lens: Youth Media Education at UCR ARTS. At the California Museum of Photography, UCR ARTS offers immersive workshops in photography, filmmaking, and media literacy that align with high school curriculum and spark creative exploration. In this presentation, the UCR ARTS Education team showcases how students build storytelling skills through direct, hands-on access to a world-class collection of photographic prints, the largest camera collection in the American West, and thought-provoking original exhibitions. These museum-based learning experiences enrich classroom teaching and give students the chance to create and publicly exhibit their own work in a professional arts environment.
