Experience the versatility of cyanotype, firsthand! Since its introduction in 1842, cyanotype has played a role in photography as both a fine art and a technical process. The simplicity of exposing and processing cyanotype makes it highly accessible, and it bridges the historical with the contemporary artistic practice.
Several precoated substrates will be prepared and various digital negatives and photogram materials will be provided for experimentation. A list of resources for purchasing the necessary materials and tools will be shared for integration of cyanotype into both teaching and fine art practices of all levels, will also be provided.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
