In Pilgrimage of Light, Mark Chen depicts scientific beauty through art, uniting astronomy, geology and photography through onsite projections. He will present the concept and science behind the series. He will also detail the technical challenges in executing his plan, and the eventual breakthrough with an invention.
Mark Chen will recount his pilgrimages to deliver the galactic "offerings" to the "holy grounds" of Earth, including how he survived night hikings in darkness and a bear encounter. He will end the presentation by projecting a galaxy on and photographing the audience. The resulting image will be shared live and on Instagram.
