Working with silver gelatin, laser etching, repurposed plexi, radar data, archival maps and banknotes are some of the materials that we use to create layered narratives about places where we hold cultural roots and close relatives. Our work takes place at the intersection of the arts, environmental justice and habitat recovery. The focus of our conversation is about our long-term projects that take place in Hawaii, and, at the confluences of the Missouri, Mississippi and Ohio Rivers.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
