Travis Shaffer (b. 1983 - Pennsylvania, USA) is a visual artist whose work spans the mediums of photography, digital imaging, and the artist's book. Shaffer's photography-based book work has been exhibited internationally at venues including the Museum Brandhorst (Munich), Gagosian Gallery (NYC), Arts Santa Monica (Barcelona), FotoMuseum Provincie Antwerpen, Mews Project Space (London), and Les Rencontres d'Arles (Arles). Shaffer is a 2019 Teti Photography Library Fellow and his artist books are held in public collections including the National Gallery of Canada, the Brooklyn Museum, and Yale University's Beinecke Rare Book + Manuscript Library. In 2016, Shaffer started an experimental risograph printing project called theretherenow.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
