"Undoing Conditioning: Towards a Reciprocal Pedagogical Practice in the Middle East"
Heather M. O'Brien is an artist living and working in Beirut, Lebanon. Her work explores how capitalist desire and militaristic legacy construct our ideas about home. She received an MFA in Photography and Media from CalArts and was a participant in the General Studies Program at The International Center of Photography in New York. Heather is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fine Arts and Art History at the American University of Beirut.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
