Searching out the sites of the 140 failed attempts to escape across the Berlin Wall, the photographs in Death|s|trip are grounded in the victims' histories and the evidence gathered by authorities in the prosecution of war crimes in the mid-1990's.
Through Death|s|trip Warpinski explores the contingent properties of meaning, memory, and reflection in relation to the contemporary urban landscape of Berlin.
