Kristina Smith works primarily in lens-based media, with creative research focused on memory, story telling, and the human condition. Her recent work explores memory, identity, ritual, and cultural erasure. She received her BFA from Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio and her MFA from Texas Woman's University in Denton, TX. She currently resides in Greenville, NC where she is a Visiting Instructor of Photography. Her work has been exhibited regionally, nationally, and internationally.
Dialogue and critique are important to the SPE mission.
