Sam Girton is Associate Professor in The School of Visual Communication at Ohio University. Sam received his MFA from Ohio University in 1993 and teaches classes in Desktop Publishing, Web Design, Advanced Web Design,3D Modeling, Motion Graphics, and Video Documentary Storytelling at the undergraduate and graduate level. He also currently serves as the Acting Director of Academic Technology at Ohio University.
Sam has studied abroad from Leipzig to Beijing and received grants from USAID and The Ohio Arts Council. He does freelance work in photography and visual communication. A partial list of his client includes, Clear Channel Communications, Inc., Marietta Memorial Hospital, Lineberger Cancer Center, Ohio University Press, World Book Encyclopedia, and the American Bar Association.
