Job Description:
The Visual Arts department is seeking a positive, supportive, and dynamic Photography Instructor to teach a diverse community of learners. Preference will be given to candidates who are committed to student success, equity, inclusion and the use of the classroom experiences to enhance workplace understanding and performance.
Teach with excellence a full range of photography coursework. Participate collaboratively in curriculum review and development, outcomes assessment, advisory council activities, projects, and other department or College activities.

Required Qualification:
Master of Fine Arts degree in Photography or related discipline with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
Higher Education / Community College teaching experience preferred.
Physical Demands:
Prolonged periods of walking and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Salary/Hourly Rate: $65,670 minimum
Expected Start Date: Fall Quarter
177-day, 9-month contract.
May include day, evening and/or weekend classes and will involve travel to other campuses.
Will teach using different modalities; in-person, online, hybrid or remote.
A teaching demonstration is required as part of the interview process.
Position is contingent upon MCC Board of Governors approval.
