Visiting Assistant Professor of Art – Photography

The Fain College of Fine Arts and The Juanita and Ralph Harvey School of Visual Arts seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor of Art – Photography. Midwestern State University is the only public liberal arts institution in Texas located two hours northwest of the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex. The university is a member of COPLAC and the Harvey School of Visual Arts is a member of NASAD, offering a comprehensive undergraduate art curriculum. This is a full time, benefits eligible, one year appointment. Salary is competitive.

The Juanita and Ralph Harvey School of Visual Arts houses a state of the art Mac lab with several Epson scanners and Canon printers, including three large format printers.

Minimum Qualifications: MFA in the field of photography or closely related discipline, a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching. College-level teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will teach a range of photography and digital media courses at the undergraduate level that include the Adobe Creative Suite and time-based media. You will also teach a section of 2D design or Art Appreciation. Perform university, college and departmental service and other duties as assigned.
