Job Description:
The Marietta College Art Department is seeking applications for a full-time, tenure track Assistant or Associate Professor of Art in Graphic Design & Photography.
Candidates should have the ability to:
Teach courses in Graphic Design in the following areas (required):
• Adobe Software Instruction (Illustrator, InDesign & Photoshop)
• Branding & Logo Design
• Print Production & Layout Design
• Professional Design Business Practices
Teach courses in Photography in the following areas (required):
• Digital Photography & Photographic Composition
• Lighting Techniques
• Video Editing
A priority will be placed on candidates with experience in specialty areas, such as:
• Interaction Design
• Information Design & Data Visualization
• Graphic Design History
• Digital Illustration
Required Qualifications include:
• An individual with a Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design or Photography (or equivalent professional experience).
• A proven teaching record beyond adjunct-level (preference towards those with full-time teaching experience).
• Must be fluent in traditional, digital, and interrelated media on the Apple Macintosh platform.
• Must have the ability to teach in traditional lecture and hands-on studio classroom environments.

Starting date is August 2019. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and credentials.
