North Dakota State University Department of Visual Arts is seeking applications for a full-time, tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of Art in Photography and Digital Media/Design. This Assistant Professor position is a 9-month, tenure-track, full-time, benefited faculty position with the potential to begin in January 2019. Candidates should have experience in both digital design processes and Photography. The candidate will have the opportunity to work collaboratively to shape the future of Photography/Design in our program with a preference for someone with a vision for the unique crossover points between image, digital media, and design. We seek diverse and innovative thinkers to meet the needs of our student focused, land grant, research university. Women and other traditionally underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.

The NDSU Visual Arts Program is housed in a state-of-the-art, repurposed historical building in Downtown Fargo with unparalleled facilities in the region. We have recently launched a $200,000 digital design studio and a large, newly established Jim Falck Endowment that supports scholarships, innovative initiatives, and faculty/student development. We offer B.F.A., B.S and B.A. degrees in art and design and are fully accredited by NASAD.
