Applications are being accepted for a full-time appointment as assistant professor in the Department of Art, in the area of digital and film photography, to begin August 10, 2018. The Department of Art seeks someone who is prepared to assume a full teaching load of undergraduate and graduate courses in digital and film photography, along with the provision of thesis advising and mentoring to graduate students. The ideal candidate will also be able to work with undergraduate students on the development of professional skills and preparation for their final graduation exhibition. The selected candidate will be working with adjunct instructors in the area of photography. Opportunities for involvement in the art museum planning committee exist.
The NASAD-accredited Department of Art offers a range of studio concentrations and degrees, including B.F.A degrees in studio fine arts and graphic design, a B.S. with concentrations in art education and studio fine art, and a B.A. with a concentration in art history. The M.F.A. degree is also offered in studio fine arts and graphic design. The candidate should have an MFA with specialization in photography and teaching experience beyond graduate student assistantship level.
