Lesley University College of Art and Design is looking for a core faculty member in the Photography Department to teach a full load of undergraduate required and elective studio courses per year. Faculty member will mentor and advise undergraduate students, organize and participate in department and school activities for students, serve on school and university committees and attend meetings as required. Other responsibilities include curriculum development, assistance with student recruiting, attendance at visit days, admission open houses, and portfolio reviews. Succesful applicants must be enthusiastic, flexible, and collaborative, with excellent communication skills.

Requirements (Education, Experience and Skillsets):

¬ Earned Master of Fine Arts degree, plus evidence of recognized professional experience in Photography.
¬ A minimum of 3 years successful University teaching experience. Must have a strong commitment to teaching, and be able to teach courses from foundation level to senior, including all technical courses.
¬ Must demonstrate meritorious professional and scholarly achievement, and must provide evidence of outstanding leadership in the academic community & professional specialty.
¬ Demonstration of curriculum development experience.
¬ Skill sets and the ability to teach in any areas of contemporary photographic practice. In-depth understanding of a broad range of contemporary practices, theories, concepts and applications in photography professions.
¬ Evidence and working knowledge of how to establish best practices for professional career tracks for photographers, and the ability to build internship contacts outside of the department.
¬ Preferred experience with interdisciplinary practices and in video and installation work.
¬ Must be authorized to work in the United States; if you hold a visa, your visa status must allow you to work at Lesley University.
