Job Summary
Assistant Professor of Art, tenure track for August 2016 appointment. We are seeking an energetic, versatile faculty member to teach courses in the BFA Photography Computer Imagery concentration. Our comprehensive BFA curriculum focuses on a contemporary approach to image making and practice. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of contemporary issues and technologies utilized in the creation of photography, video, as well as have a high level of technical proficiency with current digital media applications including Adobe Creative Cloud on the Macintosh OS X platform. The ability to teach relevant principles in user experience, Photoshop, Light Room, and programming (HTML, CSS, Java Script) a plus.

Minimum Qualifications
- M.F.A. or equivalent terminal degree with an emphasis in photography including film-based darkroom photography, digital photography and other media and technology applications.
- Professional experience as a photographer, manager, or fine artist
- Evidence of teaching experience at the undergraduate level
- Knowledge and understanding of computer lab management
- Knowledge and understanding of video and time-based media

Preferred Qualifications
